CONSULTATION & CLINICAL SUPERVISION
In my clinical consultations you learn to assess the complex interrelationships between social systems, cultural norms, and people's affective health problems. I am committed to help you develop your skill to ask critical questions and challenge power relations that often underlie toxic interaction cycles and mental health problems. Currently, I'm an assistant professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
PROFESSIONAL FORENSIC EVALUATIONS
For attorneys, I offer forensic mental health assessments for immigration court. This includes hardship waivers, cancellation of removal waivers, as well as asylum, VAWA, and U & T visa cases. I strive to create a compassionate and caring environment for all clients. I offer a quick turnaround time and economical rates. My approach is to work closely with attorneys to provide a thorough evaluation process in a safe and welcoming environment.
Get to know my research and writing on how gender, masculinity, and religion impact health and well-being. I have published journal articles and essays with top academic presses. My first full length book will be out in Spring 2020.
I'm an approved supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and an assistant professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. More than 15 years of experience in social science research and education motivated me to empower couples and men to create healthy relationships with themselves and others. I received my PhD. in Anthropology and focused my doctoral research on psycho-social health and masculinity across cultures.
